Pink Tower (something for Phillip Guston), 23.5cm x 55.5cm
I recovered this tower from a gallery here in Copenhagen who had simply stowed it away for a number of years. Heroically, I recovered the tower. The frame had been damaged so I liberated the work.
Whereas most of my towers are made using ink, this was instead created using Golden acrylics so there is a sheen and something of a depth to the tower. The pink is in stark contrast to the heavy bodied Fabriano hot-pressed paper, something which is perhaps not entirely visible through the photograph seen.
